Finally, Diogenes, we have found an honest man. ‘Consensus Science makes no sense’. Truth is not elected, it is constructed using goodness (honesty), righteousness (data), and truth emerges in that struggle. That’s why they have double-blind studies, placebos… man tends to self-fulfill his own prophecies.
But follow the money and notice how quiet all the chemical companies are about all this. They are going solar, they will reduce their footprint, etc. The republicans would love to spray maletheion on the world to kill one bug, or DDT, but the Democrats need to get the under-the-table money for walkin’ around, you know, as politicians. But nothing changes on the pollution front, really.
Dems and Reps are playing the old Game Theory game. The winner wins only when he directly and oppositely opposes his opponent. Reps: Doesn’t matter how much CO2 is opposite to Dems: We must limit and control how much CO2.
And that’s it. Nada about Pesticides, Selecticides, Fertilizers and Herbicides. Cause goolly gee, that doesn’t affect GLOBAL WARMING… wtf is global warming that the sun doesn’t dominate.
Now LOCAL WARMING is a problem for NYC, and urban areas in general and Mayor Bloomberg seems to have a handle on it. And the one handle is this: You will make more money using the greener solutions. Painting roofs white, or putting garden on them, upgrade insulation and water heaters, yes and even lighting. And really figuring out the CARBON DICK PRINT is really too difficult except for some really good bean counters. … like where did you get that titanium for the white paint? Did the plastic come from oil from Saudi Arabia or gas from West Virginia? Do your workers eat peanut butter or melted cheese sandwiches…. you see were this goes …. watch the movie ‘Brazil’ Robert DiNiro’s in it…. The Department of Information Retrieval will become the most powerful. It’s a combo of Accounting-Lawyers-Swat-Teams, just the kind of thing that Lenin, Trotsky, and the Marx brothers would have fun with.
