Zoomblat: it would also make sense to harvest the dead wood from the Rockies and other fireprone areas and convert the logs into LOG CABINS (little energy to change from vertical log to horizontal log…duh).
Also raising companion grasses that remain green in cold weather or are deep rooted in dryer regions or legumes that enrich the soil by not depleting it….. oh yea.
