Yes, the blame is to those who would loan money, knowing that the only way it would be paid back was if the home prices continued to rise. Home improvement loans and all the materials sold could not make up the difference for the losses which occurred when the market faltered. Nobody really needs granite countertops for $5k, or new vinyl siding.
And then it was just a freebie to ACORN’s gang who threatened to sue if monies were not provided to minorities… and nothing was done …. just wait to sell it to the next sucker… who could threaten to get a 125 percent loan … or sue….
