A Stubbornly Persistent Illusion according to Al Einstein
Human Affairs, Science
A great quote and like the Brothers Grimm, reality is the illusion, dreams are the reality.
I remember fishing on a mountain lake in the early morning, alone. Got a bite, pulled up a deflated yellow orb, about 1 ft. diameter. Puzzled for a second, then I realized some hands were holding on to it. A head, about 6-8 ft. high rose up out of the water…with a not so happy look.
I began apologizing … no response, then I looked away from the side of the boat, 90 degrees to the bow. As I looked up to the mountain top, the giant person was standing up on top of the mountain, the sun at my back.
Then everything turned upside down… and I awoke as I was turning over. Nice segway.
I learned that Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, has frogs, no fish, and they worship a yellow orb under the water. Not such a good idea going fishing. The spirits are those that ascended from the lake to make the sun, moon and stars….. http://www.travel-amazing-southamerica.com/lake-titicaca.html
Bummer.
So dreams are real, timeless and space is not continuous, but can fracture off in situation.
Another great one was when I met my mom and dad, who passed on in 2002, mom on the ides of March, and Dad on the 27th of December. It was not a hugfest, but a usual Victorian sort of hello, how are you? event. We discussed something .. but it became awkward as we both didn’t know what to say… they didn’t want to give away anything to jeoprodize their situation, and I wasn’t going to pry… like: Are you guys still in Purg?
To break the silence, they announced that they were going for lunch. And they turned, kind of like they wanted to get away, but not leaving out the possibility that I would be welcome to follow. So I asked them, can I come to lunch with you?
They turned and nonchalantly said OK. Well when we got there, it was a see-thru automation line. They sliced a sausage in half… put it on a bun on a conveyor… and you followed it, watching it travel in a parallel hot dog universe so it seemed. Then along the way there were buttons to push… Mustard, then Relish, then Onion….etc. and finally it came out from behind the glass… plate sliding to a stop.
We picked it up… and I followed them. $0.29 each. They picked up the tab.
I believe I woke up before I tasted it, as I HATE hotdogs, and do not allow my children to eat them… well, maybe a few times at Costco … the polish ones are pretty tasty..
Tell me, Sigmund, where is this leading? Is it that Grimm?
