Science, Uncommon Sense
A PhD in microbiology arguing Creationism as if the world were about 6000 years old. I argued this in college for my religion paper, theorizing that it was ‘human consciousness’ that began in Genesis 1. That the world was recovering from an ice age where the population of tribal groups were decimated and began to learn language and were visited by g-d to organize themselves into law, and the tree of knowledge was the past tribal barbarism that the few remnants used to stay alive. They were to give that up. But then Abel, the shepard and Cain the farmer quarreled as Abel let his flocks eat from the garden, destroying Cain’s prosperity. The old ways came back. Cain killed Abel. But Cain blames g-d for playing fair, and sarcastically ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’ G-d reflected that he had promised to keep them… it seems he had failed to reign in Abel from overrunning Cain.
Cain was banished, yet thrived and his grandson, Methusala lived to over 900. There were few diseases and lots of land and culture, trust and laws were beginining to take hold. And so we progress until today; it doesn’t seem socially much different, except some try to kill off the Jews… not so much in Israel… it’s tough, they’re tough, smart and disciplined to survive.
We can learn a lot from the Israelis. The fact that one switch can turn off the power of Israel is a great safety device. For stealth, and for preserving lives. USA should have a soldier stationed at every utility company, and if ordered, turn off the power.
I hope you enjoy the video and see that science thinks often in too simple of terms. Intelligent life began, or perhaps created much later than dinosaur, and other life forms that had little conscious and no direction or discovery that we as created in g-d’s image enjoy.
As much as I love my pooch, I understand that if it were not for me and my feeding her in trade for her protecting my family, her life would be vicious and much less favorable to long naps, walks and trying to say ‘stew’ at noon meal and ‘dry food’ in the evening.
