Huge gamma-ray blast spotted 12.2 bln light-years from earth

So 12,200,000,000 years ago, this explosion occurred. It would be nice to graph gamma-ray blasts numbers against distances from Earth. I am hoping that all are at great distances, therefore times. This one’s date is 9/2008 and 9k supernovae in strength. The mention that 1000 occur per year isn’t too comforting…yet 100’s of billions of galaxies might mean that our Milky Way is groovin’ cool and long.
