You: Why Dave; why now?
Me: Well, I've two talented kids; the younger mentioned my stopping with the lectures. Then enthusiastically asked, 'Dad, can I help you set up a blog?' Moments later, Me: 'OK, that's a great idea, thinkin' they might just read it someday.

Another look at the challenge to the separation of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, in Bremen, where I had the pleasure of gluttony in the summer of 1967 at the home of the president of Beck Beer, but I digress.

An inspiring quote:

Watching Bose-Einstein condensates in free fall could also help sketch a map of the intersection between quantum mechanics and general relativity. These twin pillars of modern physics don’t play well together — scientists have yet to come up with a description of the universe that describes both at the same time.

Just for fun, what if Obama were called General Relativity and Akmadinajab was then obviously a Quantum mechanic.  Would they diverge as they fell down the 146 m. elevator shaft.  I really don’t want to prejudice the outcome;  come on guys, martyr yourselves for science.
