You: Why Dave; why now?
Me: Well, I've two talented kids; the younger mentioned my stopping with the lectures. Then enthusiastically asked, 'Dad, can I help you set up a blog?' Moments later, Me: 'OK, that's a great idea, thinkin' they might just read it someday.

With all the blather (lather with b no s added), who is to smell the burning flesh, or to turn the phrase, it’s just a lot of ‘southern barbacue’.
I crashed the White House Correspondents dinner in 1980 with a uber liberal vixen of WTOP news worthiness. My bride was already at the feast; I should have suspected something. Convinced that I didn’t need a tux, I wore my 3 piece blue suit … the only one without a tux. The first sign that a leftie was trying to ‘do’ me ‘in’.
Of course, I owned a tux, a 3 piece, blue, that I had recently been married in at the National Cathedral, (oh bless allah). Well, betrayed or not with my attire, I spied at this dinner, Walter of Cronkite, who was haplessly doing an Irish jig with a few, so inclined, including my new bride. Whereupon I cut in on the Walter, and I without a tuxedo was allowed to remain.
So it was in the ‘good old days’. Not so hapless today, where your affiliation, prejudged will be predisposed, fate sealed, etc.
I say, Tucker Carlson, a fellow alum and a bowtie wearing iconoclast should not be portrayed as a ‘country club republican’ … anymore than the ‘guttersnips’ on the left should be fed.
I would suggest that the WND seated guests should bring the call to show the 1982 Passport which allowed young Obama into Pakistan. Certainly it wasn’t American as in USA… it wouldn’t have worked…. so ‘Show us your 1982 Passport’ might be fun.
