The dark flow cannot arise from gravitational instability, which has been a standard paradigm for the origin of peculiar velocities,” Kashlinsky tells Astronomy Now. -

Physics, Theology, History

Well the Brits are getting interested in us Yank Astronomy, which goes to show ya that it’s ‘lookin’ up’ (Jack Horkimer haunting) for American Astrophysics.  This author is a Phd and gets into some more detail of Kashlinsky’s discovery.

My advice is not that we should feel smaller, even if the universe may be slightly bigger than we thought, but that we have a lot more to search out and understand, that before you ‘give it up for science’ … science has proposed more questions than answers, but what I like to refer to as Newton’s Fourth law of motion, if he could have been here, he might now conclude ‘What goes around, comes around.’  Added to this study was a previous post of Einstein’s General Relativity is upheld when measuring influences of distant dark matter. … which (stay with me here) that influences of dark matter show external influences to our universe beyond our ‘closed bubble universe’ paradigm that some have imagined, like a balloon filling, then shrinking …. at least now we can see that there may be something out there that’s filling it (or emptying it).  We are not alone … but it’s not exactly warm and fuzzy puppy dog either… so take care of this wonderful world… it may actually be an oasis, quite unique.

Cosmic dark flow mystery deepens
