Wouldn’t you know it, at about the same time that we are seeing the possibility of FUSION, Obama is scheduling $58 billion to fund FISSION nuclear power plants, which once approved might be built just about when a major competitor will be able to build the FUSION one, which is so much safer as when it shuts down … no radiation.
I remember in the summer of 1967, meeting Prof. Harold Stumpf in Tuebingen, Germany on a weekend pass from my studies at the Goethe Institute in Bad Aibling. He was a nuclear physicist, a Chech, with red hair, couldn’t drive a car, so his wife would do the driving. We walked thru the Black Forest near their home in a park and about halve way thru, he decided to swim in the lake. Striped down he jumps in … me not so much…. but we walked several miles so everyone was tired… but we used two flexible walking sticks, so our arms were exercised as well. They thought I spoke German with a French accent … I took that as a compliment … took the train back to Bad Aibling and that’s all I know… oh yea, he was working on FUSION … me, Con Fusion.
