‘Not just a box to get your job done’… means that to unleash the creative you have to synchronize with all the ‘motions’ and ‘emotions (without motions). The color, the fit, the serif, the quicktime movie, the multiplex intermingles the facts with time to become events, events that you as ‘master of your mac (moym) mold into something that has not been all that way together before. It is creation, and as much as the joy comes from the creation of another human, as from that when a true new idea, even an expression is formed and released. As in humans, others may be quick to question the legitimacy (who gave it to you? who’s the dad?) and who did you copy this from? When you can point to a timeline of facts, arranged in the elegance of a tumbling leaf as it is played by the wind, they may go ‘aha’ and grant you yours, or they might pretend it is nothing and run to copy each nuance.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery (by someone else), unlike limitation comes from not seeing or prevented from imitation the generating forces of the idea.
