Me: Well, I've two talented kids; the younger mentioned my stopping with the lectures. Then enthusiastically asked, 'Dad, can I help you set up a blog?' Moments later, Me: 'OK, that's great, thinkin' they might just read it someday.

The wonderful thing about breastmilk is that it is so absorbable. There is little in it that is wasted or goes through the body and crapped out. Wetness is less extreme, but very controlled. It is the perfect food for infants.
One of the ways the formula hucksters capture the unsuspecting mother, or mother-in-law is to introduce the ‘smart deceit’. ’Oh, is he having regular BM’s?’ When you tell them it has been two days, they are concerned the infant isn’t getting enough to eat.. ‘Oh here, honey, I bought this ‘pig spit in a can’, they say it will fatten ‘em up in no time’. And when you start with the formula, and don’t pump, the infant loses interest and mom starts to produce less and less, and especially accelerated because she feels more and more inadequate.
So bravo! This mom has helped these infants escape the horrors of earaches, allergies. These infants will develop faster with better immunity.
This one’s for you dad. (He started a milk bank at Evanston Hospital in the 1950’s with the network and help from the Junior League moms. Dad got to meet Princess Grace, who supported the effort, and milk was donated and sent all over the world.)
