I’m glad this general reference to a comedy show brought with it a reference to one of my favorite, if not multi-tongued oracles of Pscyhophysics: Roger Penrose, not in any Roger The Lodger jokes. His ‘Emperor’s New Mind’ tries to give the ‘exceptionalism’ of mind or consciousness vs. mechanical or computer functioning.
Questions: Is consciousness like a computer watching a computer, i.e. following every move of a computer of the same speed, but then senses a misstep, and must log the misstep, refind the copy point and continue to ‘shadow’ another. The missteps become more frequent as the A lead computer finds ever more complicated events.. and the B follow computer must begin to anticipate or extrapolate or jump ahead in time a millisecond to see what is the next step… report to a C control computer who adjusts A and or B to the speed/complexity, and like Disney’s ‘Fantasia’, C must never loose control.
So rather than BEC’s at room temperature, it may be a vortex of energy which allows a slight manuvering to occur. I’ll be on the Hippocampus and or Amygdala, which provide us with major functions of our Short Term Memory (STM), or that which gives us a trace of evidence that we were there when and about what next to whom., etc.
