This is huge; to get as important a benefit from only breastfeeding a month, and this only looks at the health of the mother. Ear Infections have been non-existent in our family where our first was breastfed for 2.5 years, and 2nd for one year. Both have great coordination thru dance and swimming plus flute, respectively.

Check with your local LLL for a good pediatrician, one who ‘really’ supports breastfeeding. Ask him about supplements: none in the first 6 months, according to my dad.
