Physics - Are black holes really two dimensional?

If you recall, a previous blog concerned Susskind’s refutation of Stephen Hawking’s seemingly recanted but not well understood or supported theory that ‘information is lost once it enters a black hole’. Susskind spent years coming up with his refutation, some of which may be referenced here…. basically that a ‘two-dimensional ‘movie’ is recorded along the perimeter ‘throat’ of an event horizon’.

Carlip is mentioned in this article by this esteemed physicist, MIT undergrad.- and masters-trained author Vijay Balasubramanian, as making the ‘same suggestion …from a completely different perspective.

Without reading the details of either one, we can imagine reality represented in two dimensions and individual slices of each made and presented in some way. We understand movies as representing real life (reel2reel life) as nearly 2 dimensional images moving each after another, alternating with a dark transition… so motion is generated by ‘instantly’ replacing each image and making the transition invisible, or an on-off carrier superimposed over the moving images. We only image the perpendicular dimensions and the parallel dimension becomes obvious as we move nearer or farther away within that 4 space-time dimensioned continuum. Time also becomes obvious as we take images at some regular frequency.

But we’re talking super dense squished space. Time might be obviously reconstructed from the display of the 2 dimensions, but given that no ‘projector’ is supplied, which 2 dimensions? Imagine imaging ‘my world’… it would consist of what I know, and that perhaps can be best described as a spherically shaped object… my ‘senses domain’. If we could imagine this ‘orb’ entering the black hole throat and being projected physically to the sides, this orb might deconstruct into a ribbon spiral for each section of the sphere. For security or other timing perhaps, a perpendicular section would be spiraling in the other direction, giving a macro view of some sort of double helix structure of the throat, being squeezed until the interference nodes marked individual identities, and Mankelbrot reduction into lower and lower activity reached a point were the reconstruction became a layered identity in a time grid based on core as the beginning. Imagine a collision, imagine light being captured and energizing the core and imagine when nothing arrived or prolonged dormancy. Imagine if these were some BEC Mega Being’s (BMB)’s long term memory storage device. Not learning from history would not be an option. One might even learn to trust their wisdom…. but don’t go killing yourself when the next comet gets close to transport you there… you may not be that worthy. So you think only those beings able to navigate the inner galaxy with really dense thermonuclear things going on get zipped into a Black Hole Throat? Is your name Luke Skywalker? It may be dodging anti-matter which even the BMB might worry about that matters, or smelling the roses, or counting the bees on orchid-like faint purple flowers, or building something from nothing you knew before… and eventually it will matter… it will be part of that ‘Time Obvious Universe’ (TOU).
