Debka.com notes this quote upon Syria wanting Israel to give back Golan before they agree to negotiate peace. (Syria attacked Israel in 1967, but that doesn’t matter, right?)
Netanyahu proposed similarly that Syria give up military accords with Iran, and then they would negotiate. Maybe it was too much of Netanyahu’s MIT trained wit, but Syria didn’t seem to wage an response.
