Thanks, Trux for the heads up on Capstone, CPST. The idea that locating clean energy sources in cities, where ‘regeneration’ or CHP can be effectively utilized is great. I remember when the field engineer for Brassfield and Gorrie, the builder of one of the largest ‘acre’ sized Publix supermarket, NW of Orlando in 1986. The used the hot side of the refrigeration and AC lines to heat water for all the kitchen and butchering areas. Publix has held up as one of the best run grocery chains out there.
I believe the microturbines are even being used in electric cars as the smaller size/power ratio is great. The only concern is the price tag. Jet engines have never been cheap.
