But did global forests hold more or less carbon in the past? And could they store more in the future? Does it matter where those trees are growing? Scientists really don’t know.

A beautiful map and a critical and essential activity that ‘government’ should provide as it relates to ‘protection’ of its people. Instead of the Gore induced crap that like politics is about greed and self aggrandizement.
An ‘Urban Forester’ would be a valid worker for a city to trim and expand its treescape. There is far too much wasted on lawns and annual plantings. Even low bushes and trees would be far better for the environment as well as provide habitat for some wild animals, rabbits, squirrels, etc. and not require watering or other chemicals to ‘beautify’.
