You: Why Dave; why now?
Me: Well, I've got a couple of kids; the younger asked that I stop with the lectures and asked, 'Dad, can I help you set up a blog?' Moments later 'Yea, that's a great idea, thinkin' they might just read it someday, me - Gaarr of Blog'

A Ponderosity: exclusively recalled:
To say: "He is a man of truth," is to say nothing;
2 say: "He is a man of of," is to state an elementary truth of logic.

Damn If I Didn't Stumble On This

‘Because swearing often has an exaggerating effect that can overstate the severity of pain, the team thought that swearing would lessen a person’s tolerance.
As it turned out, the opposite seems to be true.’
Now, for me, swearing is a great way to find something, which happens often… ie I’m lookin’. On the side of one of the commentors on this story, he thinks because you are swearing you are defacto stupider … ergo you don’t feel as much pain …. ergo your hand can tolerate more pain longer. My wacko theory is that the supreme being that hid whatever I’m lookin’ for will get bothered by my expletives that he will redirect my senses toward the object searchimus. My 2nd wacko theory as an alternative (double chance of being valid) is that the supreme being is jarred to attention as I usually refer to him or her by name (not Allah) and will then because he she it is a giving fella, will find my thing….
I do suffer a lot of aesthetic pain listening to certain things and people around me sometimes and now I realize and they will as well that it makes me that much more resilient to their bullshit.
